Papercraft : Final

With an amazing experiences through this project, finally I reflected the realistic airplane in this process : developed details from the last prototype.

* Laser-cuttable template *

I just realized that width of the lines on the template would be thinner, just about 0.2~0.3 inches works better... (actually I did 0.35, it looked tough)

These are my final revisions.

from Rhino :

prototype

For the prototype, (see the image..) it was little bit dull because I did not add details yet, and also the shape of the body was thicker than final.

From the feedback in class, I was recommended to consider to make the body much thinner, and tips of the body to be sharper. Also, there were some opinions to add landing gears, engines, windows on the body parts. So I tried to make it realistic as much as I can, and I think it was pretty good try.
(Additional : I also made the wings&tails thinner and sharper than prototype. Same as rudders on the body parts)

Actually, it was hard time to glue all the parts together. The paper was stiff, and my hands were shaking! Even the glue did not work well. That's why I used tape on some parts instead of glue. Well, may be I could consider to use adhesive spray or whatever, but I like this final piece.
